“It is an incredible achievement to be selected as the best from the 6,109 entries we received this year,” said Basil O’Brien, the awards Creative Director. Leopoldi’s “Lady in Black“ is an exceptional image entered in the Abstract category, represents contemporary color photography at its finest, and we’re pleased to present her with the title of Nominee.”
In March 2020, she received the title of Honorary Color Master for Nominee in STILL LIFE for her work:
“Still Life or No Pig Listens to Me (Homage to Max Raabe)”.
In March 2015, she received an award of a special kind, namely an invitation from the Ministry of Economics of Baden Württemberg to the beautiful Haus der Wirtschaft.
The artist was able to present her project “12 times different” in the Haus der Wirtschaft for four weeks. Here, she also created an interesting programme to accompany the exhibition; among other things, a falconer with her enchanting little owl was Leopoldi’s guest. The invitation was a great recognition of this project work on the topic of unusual professions and the people behind them.
